Man City chasing Lescott

Man City chasing Lescott

24 June 2009 - 10:37

Everton defender Joleon Lescott could be heading for the exit door at Goodison Park as rumours this morning linked the England international with a move to Premiership rivals Man City.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The deal would be lucrative for both Everton and for Lescott, and a wage packet believed to be in the region of £80,000 per week has been offered to the centre back.

Meanwhile, Everton could earn as much as £15 million for the former Wolves centre-back who has been one of the most improved players in the Premiership over the last two years.

David Moyes is understood to be reluctant to sell one of his prized assets, however.
