Arsenal for Angelo Palombo?

27 June 2009 - 15:45

A report has emerged from Italy linking Arsenal with holding midfielder Angelo Palombo. The Italian international currently plays for Sampdoria, and is now ready to make a move away from Italy to elsewhere in Europe.

  • Many of the biggest clubs have been scouting Palombo for some time, but the Italian has remained a one club man since 2002 when he joined Sampdoria.

It is understood Palombo even turned down Juventus and Fiorentina over the past two years.

However, the player has made no secret of his desire to play for another club in another country, and Wenger's men are set to make an initial offer of £7 million for the 27-year old player.
