Peter Crouch heading to Spurs

Peter Crouch heading to Spurs

27 July 2009 - 04:20

Peter Crouch could be on his way to Tottenham after his club Portsmouth agreed terms with Spurs for the sale of the player. It is understood that the Lily whites have agreed a 10 million GBP fee with Pompey.

  • Arsenal linked with new shotstopper as backup to Raya
  • Juventus and Roma to battle for 20yo Arsenal star

  • There have been reports that Crouch is desperate to make a move to London and Tottenham is his preferred destination.

Crouch spent his formative years at White Hart Lane, and a return to the club has major appeal to the England international.

Crouch rejected a move to Sunderland last week.

Redknapp said of Crouch's qualities: "He's different. He holds the ball up. Celtic held the ball up well but we don't do that well enough.

"He gives you an option and he's played for me a few times before. He's always done a job and he's great on set-plays at both ends."
