Barcelona vice president Javier Yuste has refused to be drawn on speculation that Javier Mascherano is on the verge of a switch to the Camp Nou, instead insisting that the club have yet to even make an offer for the midfielder.
"I can confirm that Javier Mascherano is a fantastic player that personally I like a lot," Yuste quipped.
"But we have not listed (him).
"We have a lot of players who want to come to Barcelona. Mascherano is a fantastic player, of course, but he is today at Liverpool and he's playing very well.
"The future we cannot predict. We are just here today attending the match. He's a nice player - yes."
