Ibrahimovic joins Barcelona

28 July 2009 - 09:01

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has completed his move to Barcelona, for a fee believed to be 45 million EUR and with Samuel Eto'o heading the opposite way to Inter Milan. Ibrahimovic has signed a five year deal at the Camp Nou.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Eto'o now links up with Jose Mourinho at Inter, whilst Alexander Hleb has also moved to Inter Milan on loan for one season as part of the deal.

Ibrahimovic said of the deal: "The more I saw Barcelona play, the more I wanted to leave.

"Moreover, I was fed up of Italy, of Milan, of your football: you play badly, there's too much stress. In short, I needed something else. Did Inter pay me more than any other footballer? No comment.'

''There comes a time when you want to develop more and my desire to come to Barcelona was too big to stay at Inter.''
