Heinze happy with return

Heinze happy with return

30 September 2007 - 13:15

Gaby Heinze is delighted to finally be back from injury and playing for Spanish giants Real Madrid. The Argentine returned to action on Thursday without feeling any effects of the knock that had limited him to just two appearances since his arrival at Real Madrid.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • "I feel no lingering effects of my injury. I have to get back into the rhythm, but I feel good," he explained.

Real stayed top of the table after beating Betis with goals from Raul and Julio Baptista, and Heinze is pleased with his new side’s progress.

"We have to keep making progress and scoring because it makes us all feel a lot calmer," he continued.

Real boss Bernd Schuster likes to have his full-backs push forward and Heinze is happy to help out in attack.

"This is the kind of work the coach asks of us. We do what we should and what we can," stated the former Manchester United defender.

"We played well. It was difficult after running so much against Valladolid but, overall, we played well."
