Gokhan Inler deal talks stall

13 October 2009 - 03:09

Udinese's contract talks for midfielder Gokhan Inler have appeared to have stalled. It is believed that Arsenal are still interested in the Swiss international and ready to pay up to £12 million for the player.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Inler is apparently looking for a wage close to £80,000 per week to sign a new deal in Udine, but his club are only prepared to offer half of that.

With Arsene Wenger a big admirer of the player, and desperate to land a centre midfielder to replace Patrick Vieira who left in 2005, Inler could be the perfect tonic for Arsenal.
