West Ham are reportedly ready to allow Carlton Cole to quit the club in the January transfer window. Liverpool are among some of the teams interested in the England striker who has bagged six goals in eleven games this season.
Cole is valued by West Ham in the region of £7 million. The news will be a welcome treat for the forward on his 26th birthday, after yet another impressive season.
Cole is expected to be pushing for a spot in the England national team, and a move to Liverpool is likely to considerably improve his chances of making England's World Cup squad.
