Adebayor still hits out at Arsenal

Adebayor still hits out at Arsenal

17 November 2009 - 08:46

Man City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has followed up his onslaught against his former employers Arsenal ahead of the cup game that is upcoming. Adebayor has revealed he is still hurt by the abuse the Gunners' fans dished out to his family.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players

  • Adebayor said of the Arsenal fans: “I guess it was the way I felt treated that made me react the way I did after scoring that goal.

“I did feel very hurt. I had been so excited to play against my old team-mates, but they didn’t want to shake my hand in the tunnel and then I heard the fans singing about my parents.

“It was just my way of saying, 'You let me go. See, I am not as terrible a player as you thought I was'!”
