Birmingham are one of the clubs to be continuously linked with a wide range of players, and it appears that Marseille defender Gabriel Heinze is also on their transfer shortlist.

Alex McLeish has been chasing a wide range of players this January, including Hugo Rodallega and Kenwyne Jones.



However, now he has turned his attentions to the Argentina international defender Heinze, who he is willing to offer £4 million to bring to St Andrews.
