Sunderland bid for Kaboul rejected

13 January 2010 - 06:45

Sunderland's bid for Younes Kaboul has been rejected by Portsmouth. It is understood that the Black Cats have offered £5 million plus Anton Ferdinand in exchange for the French centre back.

  • Chelsea manager on Reece James before Man Utd game
  • Chelsea want to sign Bournemouth midfielder
  • Kaboul is valued by Portsmouth in the region of £14 million as the club look to ease their hefty debts.

Portsmouth's players have been waiting for extended periods before being paid, such is the terrible financial situation at the club.

Kaboul will be allowed to leave before the end of the January transfer window.
