Gourcuff staying at Bordeaux

Gourcuff staying at Bordeaux

05 June 2010 - 05:59

Jean-Louis Tiraud has announced that there have not been any offers for midfielder Yoann Gourcuff this summer, despite reports that Arsenal are looking to bring in the France international.

  • Man Utd expecting €80m boost with double player sale
  • Confirmed Liverpool line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Galatasaray, Salah starts
  • Last month, reports that Arsenal would be selling their star midfielder Cesc Fabregas had sparked a flurry of stories regarding potential replacements for the Spain international. Gourcuff has emerged as the front runner to take over Fabregas' position.

However, the Bordeaux president was keen to not get involved in the speculation regarding Gourcuff: "I'm not going to comment on anything from the English newspapers.

"Today, I have received no offer for Gourcuff or anybody else for that matter. We know what the English tabloids are like."
