Mexico international forward Carlos Vela has decided to stay at Arsenal for the coming season, despite Deportivo La Coruna apparently making a move for the player.

Vela was considering a move away from the Emirates after finding his first-team opportunities limited last year, but has decided to stay and fight for a first-team place next year.



Arsene Wenger now has a selection of forwards to choose from after the arrival of Chamakh, and with Vela deciding to stay for another year to try and break into the first team, it offers the Frenchman different attacking options.
