Aston Villa have emerged as front runners for the signature of Finland international midfielder Alexei Eremenko Jr. in the January transfer window.
Eremenko has been in sensational form for Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League this year, and has told his agent that he would like to stay at the club once his loan from Metalist Kharkiv expires.
However, Gerard Houllier has reportedly thrown a spanner into the works and told his scouts that they should prepare a full dossier ont he performances of Eremenko over the next 3 games.
