Liverpool eye Marko Marin move

20 June 2011 - 01:59

Werder Bremen and Germany international Marko Marin is ready to begin discussions with representatives of Liverpool. It is understood that the winger is being chased by the Reds as a replacement for Maxi Rodriguez, who looks set to quit Anfield this summer.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Marin currently has 16 caps for Germany to his name, and has been in excellent form for Werder Bremen for the last two seasons.

Aged only 22, the Serbian born youngster is seen by many to be one of the best young players in the Bundesliga.

]"I am aware of interest from England, but I am happy to carry on here," said Marin.

"I have given it some thought, and I am clear in my mind that I will be staying at Bremen."

Werder Bremen value the player at around 9m GBP.
