Sunderland eye Connor Wickham

22 June 2011 - 04:50

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce wants to make Connor Wickham his big signing this summer according to the Daily Mail. If reports are to be believed, Sunderland will offer 9.5m for the Ipswich striker.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Wickham is also being chased by Tottenham and Liverpool, but Sunderland offer Wickham the chance for immediate first team football. Bruce sees Wickham and Asamoah Gyan as his strike partnership for 2011-12.

Ipswich have been nurturing Wickham's talent over the past two seasons and due to reported financial difficulties are ready to let their prized asset leave.
