Southampton youth prospect Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is now being chased by Man Utd. Arsenal had been the preferred destination of the 17 year old, but not it is reported United have made their interest known to the Saints.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is regarded by many to be one of the brightest prospects in English football; with Arsene Wenger personally watching the player in action.



Southampton value the player at approximately 8m GBP, a fee that Man Utd are ready to pay for the youngster.



Talks for the transfer of Oxlade-Chamberlain moving to Arsenal apparently fell through after Arsene Wenger was not prepared to pay an enormous fee for the player.
