Ipswich Town starlet Connor Wickham has told his agent to hold out for an offer from Liverpool. Sunderland have made a reported 8m GBP offer for the striker.
However, it seems the England youth international wants to wait for Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish to make an offer and move to Anfield instead.
Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is expected to be very busy in the transfer market this summer, and a report last week suggested Wickham would be coming to the Stadium of Light in 2011-12.
Liverpool, however, are ready to compete with Sunderland for Wickham's coveted signature.
