Ashley Young has today completed his £16m move to Manchester United, signing a five year contract at Old Trafford. The player had one year remaining on his Aston Villa deal, and leaves after four years service for the Villains.
The 25 year old becomes Sir Alex Ferguson's 2nd signing of the summer; after completing Phil Jones' switch from Blackburn two weeks ago.
A statement on the Manchester United website read: "Manchester United is delighted to announce it has reached agreement with Aston Villa for the transfer of Ashley Young.
"The player passed a medical in Manchester this week and has agreed a five-year contract."
