Tottenham discuss Llorente deal

Tottenham discuss Llorente deal

02 July 2011 - 05:05

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has been discussing a move for Spain international striker Fernando Llorente. The Athletic Bilbao striker is valued at around £15m.

  • Chelsea told to sign former Liverpool striker
  • Liam Rosenior confirms triple Chelsea injury blow for Arsenal
  • Tottenham boss Redknapp has been told by Daniel Levy to tighten the purse strings and must sell to buy this summer; but with the exit of Robbie Keane and Roman Pavlyuchenko expected; that will generate enough cash to bid for the Bilbao forward.

Llorente has been a regular for the Spain international side and is regarded by many as one of the best forwards in the league.

It appears that the big two in Spain; Real Madrid and Barcelona, are both not interested in the Basque player and so this opens the door for a move to the Premiership.
