Kyrgiakos swaps Liverpool for Wolfsburg

Greece international defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos has signed a two year contract with German side Wolfsburg. Liverpool decided that the centre back was surplus to requirements.

Sotirios Kyrgiakos will link up with his new team mates tomorrow.

"Wolfsburg are a good club. They won the championship in 2009," he told the club's official website.

"I'm here to play and I would like to play every game."
