Lukaku prepared to wait for Chelsea chance

Chelsea's 18m summer signing Romelu Lukaku is prepared to wait for an opportunity in the first team. The Belgian international has so far found playing time limited.

Chelsea's striker Lukaku made his full debut against Fulham last Wednesday in the Carling Cup.

"I had to keep going because the team needed me," revealed Lukaku.

"I know I have to suffer if I am to win things. I have to go through pain. Chelsea has a winning culture so if, I have to suffer to win something, I prefer to suffer.

"I'm patient, but when I have the chance to play, I will do my best to show myself to the boss."
