Liverpool and Arsenal hunt Eduardo Vargas

Arsenal and Liverpool are both tracking the signature of 22-year-old Chilean forward Eduardo Vargas Rojas, valued by his club Universidad de Chile at around 5.8m GBP. Vargas is now a regular Chilean international.

The highly rated youngster has been selected as a candidate for this season's South American Football of the Year award after a wonderful season for his club.


Inter Milan were also amongst the teams considering a move for Vargas, but Arsenal and Liverpool appear to be in pole position to land his signature. Vargas' agent has already been in contact with an unnamed Italian club, and is expected to soon speak with both Premier League teams.
