Benfica weigh up Rocha move

Benfica are considering making a £2.5m bid for Portuguese defender Ricardo Rocha from Tottenham. The player has had a difficult time since joining the London club, and has come under some criticism for a number of high profile errors.

Rocha was signed by Tottenham Hotspur for an undiclosed fee thought to be around £3.3 million on a three-and-half-year deal on 23 January 2007.

A move to Benfica will be an emotional return to the club for a player who was there for over 5 years.
