Liverpool reject Carroll move talk

Liverpool have moved quickly to scotch talk of Andy Carroll returning to his former club Newcastle for a paltry 10m GBP. Reports last night suggested the forward would cut short his Anfield stay.

However, a Newcastle representative told the Express newspaper: "It is complete nonsense. There is nothing in it."

Andy Carroll has struggled to find the form that made him a Toon hero so far at Anfield, and Kenny Dalglish has even resorted to putting the striker on the bench for recent big games.
