Swansea fight to keep Sigurdsson

Swansea fight to keep Sigurdsson

On loan midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson could be allowed to make a permanent transfer to Swansea City at the end of the year, after his club Hoffenheim confirmed that they would listen to any offers.

The Icelandic midfielder has been sensational since arriving in Wales on loan in January, and scored two goals last weekend. In total, he has bagged five goals in nine appearances.

Hoffenheim are now ready to sell the midfielder, and club director Ernst Tanner said: "We have had no offers. But if someone sends something and it is in agreement with the player maybe it will be of interest. At this moment it is the wrong time for an offer."
