Basel eye move for Nicklas Bendtner

Swiss Super League champions Basel have become the latest club to be linked with Arsenal flop Nicklas Bendtner.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is willing to get rid of the Dane before the end of the transfer window as the talented striker is unwilling to play again for the Gunners.


The 25-year-old who has spent the past two seasons on loan at Sunderland and Juventus, has had offers from the likes of Malaga and FC Twente this summer, yet he finds himself in search of a new club.


According to sources in Switzerland, Basel are weighing up a transfer offer for Bendtner, who is in the last year of his contract with the North London outfit.


Basel manager Murat Yakin is on the search for a new striker to lead the attack and Nicklas Bendtner could be the ideal player to provide a solution to this problem.
