Cardiff City close in on the signing of Jefferson Montero

Premier League newcomers Cardiff City are reportedly closing in on a deal to acquire the services of Morelia winger Jefferson Montero, in spite of interest coming from various clubs in Europe. 

The 23-year-old Ecuadorian International, who currently plys his trade in Mexico, has previously experienced European football with La Liga outfits in  Levante, Real Betis and Villarreal.

As per a report from Sky Sports, the talented winger is currently seeking a visa to be granted ahead of his trip to the Welsh capital.

It is understood that the Bluebirds are hopeful of announcing the signing of the Ecuadorian winger before the end of the week.
