Tottenham defender Michael Dawson puts pen to paper on a new three-year deal
Tottenham Hotspur have announced that club captain Michael Dawson has signed a new three-year deal with the club, according to the Daily Mail.
Dawson who joined Spurs during the 2005/06 Premier League campaign from Championship outfit Nottingham Forest, has played a vital part to the club's performances in recent seasons.
The occasional England International's future was placed in doubt during last season, when manager Andre Villas-Boas didn't consider the player as part of his plans, but injury concerns within the club led to the collapse of a transfer to Championship side QPR, with Dawson being handed the captain's armband.
Dawson has so far made 268 appearances for the North London club, scoring ten goals in the process.
