Arsenal and Man Utd battle for Saul Niguez signing

Arsenal and Manchester United will go head to head to sign 19-year-old midfielder Saul Niguez. The Atletico Madrid defensive midfielder is currently spending the season on loan at Rayo Vallecano.

Man Utd have deployed chief scout Robbie Cooke to watch the under-21 star in action for his temporary club and are suitably impressed with his performances. Niguez has played for all of Spain's youth international sides and is expected to eventually enjoy a full call up. Atletico Madrid see a bright future for the youngster and are known to want to keep the player despite the interest from some of Europe's biggest teams.


Saul Niguez has also been monitored by the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid but Atleti's manager Diego Simeone has big plans for the starlet and the 30 million Euro pricetag is likely to scare off potential suitors.
