Sagnol demands move

Bayern Munich defender Willy Sagnol has shockingly demanded a move away from the Bavarian giants in January. The news is sure to alert Tottenham and Everton who have both been tracking the defender.

The veteran Frenchman told Germany's ZDF TV that he submitted his request to the board a few weeks ago, without elaborating.

Sagnol, 30, has been sidelined for seven months after undergoing an operation to fix a knee injury.

In October, Sagnol said he is making progress and should be back with the Bavarians soon.

However, he has made this dramatic U-Turn as he has now requested a move away from the club.
