Alex gets work permit

Chelsea have received a work permit for Brazilian defender Alex after his loan deal from PSV expired. The player had problems entering the country at the airport but the Home Office has given the ok for the player to begin his Chelsea career.

The defender scored against Arsenal last season to knock them out of the Champions League and will be Chelsea's 5th signing of the summer after Sidwell, Ben Haim, Pizarro and Malouda/
