Saints midfielder signs new four-year deal

Southampton midfielder Steven Davis has signed a new deal to keep him at the club until the summer of 2018.

The Northern Irishman joined the Saints from Rangers in 2012, and has played a major role in the club's progress and stability in the Premier League.

Davis revealed of his desire to help the club develop its stature and win trophies in years to come.

"I'm excited to see where we can go together over the next few years," He said. "I'd like to win trophies here and continually try to improve our league position. I feel we can do that."

Davis has made 83 appearances for the South Coast outfit so far.
