Arsenal join race for Lucas Silva

Arsenal look set to rival Real Madrid in the pursuit for Cruzeiro midfielder Lucas Silva, Spanish daily Marca reports.

Real Madrid have been deemed favourites to sign the talented Brazilian in the upcoming transfer window.

However, Madrid are yet to finalize a deal with Cruzeiro, with the Brazilian outfit unlikely to settle for less than £12m for their star asset.

According to Marca, Arsenal have moved ahead in the race by matching the club’s asking price, but they have yet to lure the youngster to snub Los Blancos for a switch to the Emirates.
