Gareth Bale plays down Man Utd link

Welsh international has dismissed speculation linking him with a move to Old Trafford by insisting that he is happy at Real Madrid, Marca reports.

The talented midfielder joined Los Blancos from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2013, and played an influential role in the club's triumph in the Champions League last season.

Recent reports revealed that United could lure the Welsh star back to the Premier League with a record bid in the winter transfer window.

However, Marca claims that Bale has rebuffed talks on the transfer rumour by saying that he is content with life at the Spanish capital.

Bale has scored 11 goals in 22 games for his club this season.
