Sven-Goran Eriksson has admitted that he holds dreams of taking Man City to Wembley in the Carling Cup and feels it his his destiny to do so considering in his six years as England manager he never had the opportunity to manage a team at Wembley.

"I think it's a dream for every player, coach, manager to be at Wembley for a game and of course it's my dream as well to sit on the bench at Wembley," he told The Sun.

"The last qualification game England played before I took up the job was at Wembley and the first after I left was Wembley.

"I had hoped to sit on the bench there because it was planned the last game before the World Cup should be played at the new stadium.

"But it was delayed almost a year. So it was destiny."
