Man Utd confident of signing 'Wanted Star'

Manchester United are confident of acquiring the signature of one of Ligue 1's best in the summer, according to The Star.

Uruguayan international Edinson Cavani has been heavily associated with a switch to the Premier League in recent seasons.

Cavani had earlier claimed that he was happy plying his trade at Les Parisiens, but The Star claims that the Red Devils are planning to lure the talented striker to Old Trafford by making a mega-offer of around £60m for his services next summer.

United visit Preston North End in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Monday.
