Wenger slates Portsmouth
Arsene Wenger slammed Portsmouth for their defensive tactics in their 0-0 draw with Arsenal at Fratton Park. The Gunners have lost top spot to Man Utd who won 4-0 at Sunderland in the Premiership.
"Credit to Portsmouth, they made it difficult for us. They played in one half of the pitch. I don't think offensively they had a special performance, they played with 10 players at the back and in the end they got the maximum they could from this kind of game,'' the Frenchman told Skysports.com.
"It was a surprise. Their whole midfield was focused on defending and we were not creative enough to find an opening.â
