Aston Villa to sell Aly Cissokho

Aston Villa are expected to offload defender Aly Cissokho before the start of pre-season.

The talented full-back joined the Villans on a permanent basis from Valencia last summer, following an impressive loan spell at Liverpool during the 2013/14 league campaign.

However, he has since then failed to make the most of his move, and has been in the fringes of the first-team under Sherwood.

According to The Mail, Cissokho's stay at Villa could be limited, with the club's hierarchy likely to put him for sale in the upcoming transfer window.
