Tottenham Hotpsur striker Roberto Soldado is closing in on a summer move to Villareal after he underwent a successful medical test.
The Spain international has struggled during his time at Spurs, scoring just 16 goals in two seasons at the club.
According to Evening Standard, the former Valencia star is expected to clinch a move back to La Liga with Villareal after he passed a medical.
It is added that the clubs have agreed on an undisclosed fee and the transfer could be announced on Friday.
Soldado joined Spurs from Valencia in the summer of 2013.
