Arsenal looking at Brighton ace to replace 25yo star
Arsenal are currently looking at Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Jason Steele as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsdale this summer.
Ramsdale lost his position to David Raya in goal at the start of the season. The Gunners have been impressed by Raya and they are expected to turn his loan deal from Brentford into a permanent one.
This should pave the way for Ramsdale's exit. The Englishman initially wanted to leave the club in January, but he changed his stance after personal intervention from manager Mikel Arteta.
However, he is unlikely to stay beyond the current campaign. The 25-year-old has his sights on the number one role with England and wants regular playing time in order to prove his credentials.
Amidst this, Steele has been identified as a suitable successor to Ramsdale. The 33-year-old has been in-and-out of the starting line-up at Brighton with manager Roberto Di Zerbi preferring rotation.
Arsenal are prepared to test Brighton's resolve with a transfer bid.
