Man Utd failed with Anderson bid

Lazio are understood to have rebuffed a summer offer from Manchester United for star midfielder Felipe Anderson, according to reports.

The Brazilian midfielder was understood to be high on the list of targets for United during the summer transfer window.

Italian source La Repubblica claims that the Capital outfit had knocked back a fee in the region of £37m for their star asset.

The report adds that the Red Devils will come up with a January bid for the 22-year-old, in spite of him being ineligible to play in the Champions League.

United host arch rivals Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday.
