Gaston Ramirez set for Serie A return

Uruguayan midfielder Gaston Ramirez will seek a fresh challenge away from Southampton in the next transfer window.

The 24-year-old has struggled to seal a regular spot in the first-team at St.Mary's and is now considered surplus to requirements at the club.

According to Sport Mediaset, the talented attacker will seek a return back to Serie A when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

It is added that his former club Bologna are among the favourites following their promotion to Italy's top flight.
