Man Utd interested in Omer Toprak

Manchester United are closely monitoring the performances of Bayer Leverkusen defender Omer Toprak with a view to a possible summer move.

The 26-year-old has been a key member at the Bundesliga outfit since his switch from SC Freiburg in 2011.

According to Kicker, the Turkey international has emerged as a surprise transfer target for United, who are eyeing defensive recruits for the next campaign.

It is added that Leverkusen are likely to offload their player to a club overseas despite the strong interest from German champions Bayern Munich.

Toprak has notched over 150 appearances for his club till date.
