Everton chase Sidwell

Steve Sidwell is reportedly ready to make a move to either Everton or Sunderland as both are interested in signing the midfielder from Chelsea on loan with a view to a permanent deal.

Sidwell joined Chelsea in a free transfer after leaving Reading on a bosman. He made over 160 appearances for the Royals. Since then, he has managed just 10 appearances for Chelsea.

Chelsea may be prepared to let Sidwell leave for a cut price £3.5 million this January but are more than happy to allow him to leave on loan.
