Roma keen on Branislav Ivanovic

Roma have held preliminary talks with Chelsea over a summer move for Serbian defender Branislav Ivanovic.

The 32-year-old penned a one-year extension in January following months of speculation over his future.

Since then, Ivanovic has had a good spell in the first-team with the Blues recovering from their early season collapse.

However, according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, representatives from both clubs had met up last week to discuss a transfer agreement for the player.

Roma are willing to pay a fee of around £3m for the experienced campaigner.

Ivanovic has made over 350 appearances for the West London giants since his move from Lokomotiv Moscow in 2008.
