Arsenal turn down offers for Olivier Giroud
Arsenal are reported to have turned down approaches from several clubs for French striker Olivier Giroud. The 29-year-old remains a key part of the Gunners' plans for the future.
Giroud largely struggled for goals in the second half of last season, and this led to severe criticism as his side failed to keep up with Leicester City in the title race.
Recent speculation suggested that the former Montpellier man could leave the Emirates due to his poor showing, but according to The Mirror, the Gunners have made the decision to keep hold of his services amid interest from a host of unnamed clubs.
The Frenchman ended his previous campaign on a high as he netted a hat-trick against Aston Villa to take his tally to 16 goals in 38 outings.
Giroud is expected to start for hosts France when the take on Portugal in the finals of Euro 2016.
