Robin Van Persie snubbed by West Ham

West Ham United have rejected the chance to sign former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Robin van Persie. The Netherlands international is desperate for a return to the Premier League this summer.
The 32-year-old had a tough season with Fenerbahce last term with manager Vitor Pereira reluctant to offer him 90 minutes of football in a single game.
A report from The Mail claims that the Hammers have snubbed the opportunity of landing the experienced forward despite his willingness to take a significant cut on his £250,000 weekly wages.
Van Persie managed to net 20 goals in 45 appearances for the Istanbul outfit following his switch from Old Trafford in 2015.
Meanwhile, Slaven Bilic's side are closing in on a high-profile signing with a £26m sum agreed with AC Milan for Colombian marksman Carlos Bacca.
