Slimani not for sale - Ranieri

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has insisted that the club will not be offloading striker Islam Slimani despite the impending interest from the Chinese Super League.

The Algerian international has emerged as the top target for Tianjin Quanjian this month with reports suggesting that the 28-year-old could be offered wages of around £400,000-a-week.

Prior to their FA Cup against Derby County, Ranieri categorically ruled out the sale of his star striker but hinted that the club are in the running to sign Middlesbrough's Gaston Ramirez.

"Slimani is not for sale. It is speculation," he told reporters. "Ramirez? I don't confirm anything. You know I don't speak about speculation. In six days you will know everything."

Leonardo Ulloa has been recently linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium, but Ranieri feels he will keep hold of the player despite his agent's recent outburst.
