Branislav Ivanovic to join Zenit

Chelsea veteran defender Branislav Ivanovic will turn down Sunderland and make a move to join Russian side Zenit. The St Petersburg outfit have made a bid of $5 millon for the Serbian defender.

Ivanovic has struggled for regular first team football this campaign and has now been told that he is free to leave Stamford Bridge.

Zenit have made the largest offer for the defender, who is said to be very interested in a move to Russia.

Zenit will offer a 30 month contract to Ivanovic.
